SmartBills on Paytm

Smart Bills Blog Header

Visiting numerous websites just to pay a bill can be frustrating. We know that. We also know that the hassle of going to multiple websites can make people annoyed and lazy, and can lead to scenarios where every day folks are late on their payments.

We always put our customers first and have their best interests in our minds. That’s why we’ve created the only app in Canada where you can view all of your bills in one place and pay them on time. With Paytm SmartBills we will send you timely reminders through an email, and a push notification on your smartphone for your upcoming bill payments.

You will see your bill amount and due date directly in the app. No more remembering multiple passwords or account numbers, no more time wasted and no more late fees. And, within a few seconds, you can pay a bill. Once your bill is successfully paid, we’ll notify you for that too.

And, we’re just getting started! Coming soon to Paytm SmartBills: we will notify you if your bill amount has changed from the usual bill amount. Your billers’ customer support contact information will be readily available for you, in case you need to reach out to them. If it were up to us we would call them on your behalf, but we can’t.

The only thing left for you to do is BYOB(ills).

Follow us on TwitterFacebook and Instagram; and sign-up to get on the list to be the first to read about our newest promotions, features and much more!

I’m asked for a non-voip mobile number to receive a verification sms during App setup. I don’t have one, now what?

Well, the only option is to sign up using an “old fashioned” mobile number.

Hi Kawal,

As long as you have an active Canadian (cell) number, you’ll be able to sign up.

For now, there are no fees if you pay using MasterCard.

What is the fee for using American Express?

Can I use paytm to pay money to another provider in a different country such as India ?

Hi Gia,
You are able to pay your India-bills through the Paytm Canada app. Just go to ‘Settings’ (from the Paytm Canada app) and tap on ‘Enable Indian Billers.’

Looks like the website is not updated. I would like to see some information about new customers.

Why do some of my bills appear to be “linked while others do Not? (The due dates and amounts owing on the non-linked bills are inaccurate)

Thanks for your feedback! We are working with the other billers so that our customers are able to link as many bills as possible. Let us know if there’s any specific biller you’d like to link 🙂

Nice application

Please link carry Telecom

HI Vineet,

Carry Telecom is available on our app! Use the magnifying glass, on the top right of the homepage, and type it in. Thanks for using the app 🙂

After sign up and fill in all the personal details, the “PROCEED” button can not be clicked.

Not sure what happens. But I tried to quit and get back to the app and fill in again, it’s just I cannot proceed to pay for my bills.

Is payment only possible by the app? not from the website?
