We truly value your feedback, especially for ways that we can improve the Paytm Canada app. Recently, we’ve received questions from multiple customers asking us for more information regarding our transaction limits. Our customers asked us why we had these limits in place.

Many felt that our transaction limits were too low, and that they were unable to make higher value bill payments in one go, which we understand can be frustrating. For example, if you were going to make a payment of $3,000 for your property taxes you would have to pay it in two or three smaller value payments. Instead of paying it in one shot.

We have implemented these rules and limits, to deter fraudsters from scamming the system. Over the last 15 months, 200 fraudsters have cost us hundreds of thousands of dollars. Every dollar that we lose towards a fraudulent transaction, hinders our ability to provide you with more contests, more promotions and of course more value.

Providing our customers the best bill payment experience, is our top priority. We want the Paytm Canada app to continue being safe and secure. While we continue to question transactions that we believe are fraudulent, we’re also striving to find ways to provide greater flexibility to our loyal customers. And, we want to thank you for your patience and loyal support.

I stopped by to thank you for the entry you’ve just published over here. It’s nice of you to share such an informative and essential article. Educations stuff!

I am trying to make a payment for my house and car insurance which is THE PERSONAL INSURANCE which PAYTM supports. However I cannot go through to pay it and I am using the same Mastercard that I usually use to pay other bills. The total amount is $ 1880.32 but I am splitting them in 3 payments of approximately 620.00 each. Can you tell me why I am not able to do this.

Currently we only accept Paytm Cash and your Bank account for Insurance payments 🙂

In the year since this post was published, have you made plans to allow members that make legitimate non fraudulent payments to exceed the limits you’ve set?

I’d like to get the full benefit of paying my credit card bills that would always exceed $2000 , and since you mention in your FAQ that you make money from the redemption of gift cards it would make sense for this to be the case. Less transaction fees you need to pay, more cards redeemed.
